Engaging and educating the mind

I like to give the children more hands on material, to try and reach them at their respective level. For adults, I do help them, but try and guide them to figure it out on their own. I have found in my experience that it is better retained when the client thinks through it them selves.
I have worked with children between the ages of 4-10 tutoring in areas like math and spanish. Also, I have helped adults better understand logic course material more fluently at my school NC A&T State University. Held a refresher course for elementary children during summer camps i've worked at for their english. I also like to work with the client and figure out new ways to help them better understand. This has been done through games,relevant age appropriate references, and other means.

I have B.Sc. in Fine Arts with a minor in Special Education from Texas Women's University; a B.F.A in Graphic Design from the University of Kansas; and M.F.A in Painting and Textiles from Texas Women's University. I graduated high school in 2003 as the valedictorian of my class. I maintained my high level of academics in college but didn't know what I wanted to do for a career. I graduated in 2007 with my business degree and moved to NC. I worked for a mental health agency helping children in broken homes with school work and being a positive male role model as well as taking pre reqs to return to school for my masters degree in physical therapy.
