A Little Bit About Me...

I like to make songs that children can learn from and I also like to make colorful diagrams and charts that make it more easier to read and remember.
I have done school tutoring and some tutoring with younger family memebers who are dyslexic and who have ADHD. I havent had any exsperince with people outside of school and family but I found out that my ways of learning are very helpful and I think I can provide them to children who need helpin any subject.

I went to Ohio State in Art, then graduated at Ohio U. I taught 14 years in Florida and Ohio , grades 1 through 12; all subjects. I taught using primarily Art and music. My areas of expertise are Reading, Literature, English, and the arts. I have acted in Little Theatre, choreographed, and taught Drama in High School and in College. I had just started tutoring at A to Z Tutoring in Florida but in 2007 I moved back to North Carolina. I substituted many years in North Carolina and taught in High School and some Elementary.
I have always thought of myself as a progressive teacher. I always thought children could learn to do anything they were asked to do. I am a hands on instructor. I believe all children can learn through experience and relevance. I like to take topics and subjects and make them interesting and relevant to the students. I am a very open person, and like to talk and make relationships with my students to better understand how students learn and perceive information.
