First I like to try to ask them where they are having trouble or watch them do some problems to see where they are having troubles. Where I find the problem I would show them the correct ways to approach a problem and prove it to them or use other methods to help them understand how the concepts work. I'm a good listener and very patient with students. Also with my computer science background, especially in statistics related applications, I can make demonstrations do demonstrate or even solve problems.
I often helped people with their math regardless if it was 3rd grade or college level. I'm always offering my help to friends around the area or even online. I am a recent graduate from the University of Wisconsin, Madison with a degree in Nutritional Sciences. This degree required excellent science and math skills to complete. I have taken math through Calc 2 and advanced science courses such as organic chemistry and genetics. I feel that I have a very solid background in math and science and could teach it well. Additionally, I tutored Spanish for 2 years while attending my first university, UW Fox Valley. I feel that I have a good knowledge of Spanish and could tutor any beginning or intermediate students.
