I have been blessed with professors at the university level who understand the importance of one-on-one instruction. Through the "creativity" of thoughtful instructors I have seen myself grow and develop in ways that I hadn't thought possible. Every student learns differently, and once the instructor gets to know the student well enough and is able to tailor their lessons to the needs of the student, true learning happens. I graduated from Liberty University in May 2009 with a BS in Accounting. I am currently and have been a substitute teacher in Bedford County for the 2009-2010 school year. I have substituted for grades 6-12. I have been a football coach at Liberty High School for 3 years and I have been a track & field coach at Liberty High School for 5 years. I have helped different types of students away from school in various subjects. I love math and I am in the process of completing the requirements to gain a teaching license to teach high school math.

I taught 7th grade Language Arts for six years when I lived in Florida. I collaborated on the team that created the Orange County curriculum for teaching writing to the middle grades. This curriculum is still in use today. I worked for the Princeton Review as a tutor doing SAT preparation both privately and in a classroom setting. This was in preparation for both the verbal and math skills sections.
I believe that students of all ages respond to humor, honesty, and respect. Subjects in which that students have difficulty can be made accessible to them by demonstrating to them the humor in learning something hard and the fun of conquering the subject. Learing should be something students enjoy.

I taught Physics, Algebra and Trigonometry for a local high school. From that point, the bulk of my career was as an engineer, nuclear, mechanical and electrical. I have a number of years in Project Management. I also have four years of experience teaching at a Technical College, where taught College Math, Computer Science and Accounting.
