I have been an educator for almost 20 years. I began my teaching career as a substitute teacher and immediately fell in love with teaching children with special needs. Desiring to continue to teach, I finished a Master's degree which gave me the endorsements to teach K-12 children with special needs. I am actually in the process with my students, their victories are my victories. I want my students to be proud of the work that they have done and the achievements that they have made. I give my students the information, I show them how to apply the information through modeling, I practice with them and then I release them to apply the technique themselves. Afterward I assign an project for an artifact that allows them through written words to translate their knowledge to another person. A Little Bit About Me...

I am Paine College graduate. I earned a BS in Mathematics and Computer Science in 2006. While at Paine College I took variety of science classes including organic chemistry, atmospheric science, and cell biology. Since graduating, I have spent two years as a high school math teacher. I have also tooken graduate work in mathematic and math education. For the past eight years I have also work or volunteered as a personal math tutor.
Teaching is something that is not meant for everyone.
