I understand all students learn differently, so it was my goal to ensure that I offered a variety of techniques to present the class material. I encouraged my students to offer suggestions if they had a better idea about the method of instruction. During college, I swam varsity, an experience that taught me the patience and time management required to balance a rigorous academic schedule with the physical strain of a full-time sport. Later, I found that my personality and ability to work well with others was more helpful out of the water.
