I'm permanently a student. Before I joined the Air Force, while in the Air Force, and after I separated I've been school. Coincidentally, I separated to take the opportunity to go back to school. Currently, I'm studying engineering in North Carolina at UNCA and planning to transfer to the University of Colorado premiere engineering school. Teacher with gentle touch - Very good at explaining new subj

I try to find the teaching style that is going to work for the student. Are they visual? Do they need to touch to learn? Finding out how to teach them and then helping them learn skills for independent study are just as important as the material.

Professional Exam Prep and Subject Tutoring

During my time as Head Tutor at UNCA, regardless of department, I tutored over 200 students in mathematics and physics. Of those students, at least 80% saw an increase of at least one letter grade and at least 20% saw an increase by two letter grades. Pre-Algebra is one of my top subjects! One of my favorite levels of math was Pre-Alebra. I aced this class with an A.

I love math! I have always gained a quick understanding of math, and have enjoyed it throughout my whole experience throughout school. I enjoy working with numbers. I took higher math courses in middle school, and when I completed Early College I was also taking higher math on the college side. I took pre-Calculus on the college side, and skipped over AFM.
