I believe that there are no boring subjects, only boring teachers. I teach so others may learn to find interest. My heart races when I help someone learn. We are always learning, and I will always be a student. I am able to relate to people on that level, regardless of subject level. No one is born knowing this stuff, we learn through life. To teach is to learn. It must be nice to teach to teach. This is my goal.
As an undergraduate I tutored in the help center of WVSU. My last semester I had to choose between Biology and Chemistry, due to a schedule conflict, and I chose Chemistry. After graduating, I worked toward my PhD at Montana State University for two years. I worked my way through teaching labs, and completed 19 credit hours, before I had to move home for family reasons. I also worked in the help center during the day and held weekly study groups in the evenings.

A Little Bit About Me...

As a graduate and instructor at Marshall University, I have gained an understanding in both law and teaching. In addition I have taught in public schools in grades Kg. thru 12th grade. I have taught in the Paralegal program at Marshall University.I have also taught Reading, Math, Science, Spelling, Writing, Social Studies and English on a Kg. thru 12th grade level in public school. I have also taught special education in grades 1st thru 8th grade in Reading, Spelling, English, Math, Science and Social Studies. I am also a LPN in the state of WV.

As a music graduate of Morehead State University, I was very much driven to achieve a level of excellence in education. I earned my BS is Music Education and have completed additional coursework required for re-certification. I have substiute taught many classes and did a long term position teaching 6th grade science. While teaching music for three years, I also worked as a tutor for Sylvan, where I gained tutoring skills. I also privately tutored in my home in the subject of math.
