A Little Bit About Me...

Hello, I have been a teacher in central Florida for 6 years. I have always taught at the middle school leve, although my student teaching was done at the High school level. Prior to becoming a teacher I served 5 years in the U.S. Navy. I have also worked with Juinor Acheivement and the Boys and Girls club of America.

I have always enjoyed teaching and helping others to learn. I don't believe in "I can't do it" or "I can't learn". I believe that anyone can learn anything as long as they're willing to learn and put an effort to do so. What is different is that some people have more ability than other to learn certain tasks, but eventually, everyone can learn. 15 years experience in a broad variety of subjects!

I have a way of perceiving the difficulty the student has, and am able to explain the material in a simple way that makes it easy for students to grasp. I have a good rapport with my student and have had several that have told me that I am the best teacher they have ever had(which didn't hurt my ego!!) I also have a good sense of humor which puts students at ease- and it is proven that a tense mind can not learn, only when the student loses their anxiety over the material will they absorb it!

Learning Can be Fun!

I have tutored children in group and individual piano lessons. I have tutored them in math and social studies. I have spent over 20 years in business in the accounting field and prepared countless financial statements and income tax returns. I am skilled in all things mathematical. I also speak Spanish through over 9 years of instruction.
I like to allow the student to read the material once and clarity any areas that need more explanation.
