My comments on tutoring Elementary Math : I enjoyed working with elementary students at Alexander II School in Macon during my 4 years of undergraduate study.

I am a "kid-at-heart" who has a passion for helping other learn and succeed. I enjoy foreign languages and I want to share my enthusiasm with others. By traveling often, I remain enthusiastic about the subjects I study. Over the past 4 years especially, I have spent many weeks in Germany and France and have fallen in love with the people and their culture. I enjoy finding short stories and comics that help others better understand and learn the language. I also have many supplies from abroad, such as books and DVDs. Currently, I am a student attending the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. At UT, I am majoring in Microbiology and maintaining a 3.18 GPA. During my education, I have had great opportunities to study the sciences and mathematics; however, history and philosophy are fun to study as well. I have 7 years of teaching experience at the Florida School for the Deaf teaching struggling readers at the high school level. I received the teacher of the year recognition award during my second year of teaching due to my ability to motivate and encourage all my students to enjoy the love of reading.
