In 1963-64 I attended the Institute for American Universities in France, and also visited many other countries around the world, all of which increased my interest in languages and social studies. I taught upper elementary classes for 5 years, and after working in many other fields, taught ESOL for12 years as a private tutor, for Berlitz Languages, and for adults in the San Juan District with a specialty in pronunciation.
