My comments on tutoring ADD/ADHD : During the regular school year I tutor mostly students with ADD or ADHD.

I have taught for many years in all levels of secondary school, alternative schools, and tutoring centers.I eat, sleep, and drink tutoring as I tutor every day during the school year and do lots of research to help my kids in whatever academic subject is causing them difficulty. I began my teaching career for the first five years as a high school English teacher and taught regular college prep English courses.The next five years I taught English at the middle school level.Next, I got married and resigned from teaching when our first child was born. I began working as a Water Safety Instructor when I was 16 and taught swimming to people age 3 to age 76. I worked as a Teacher's Assistant at West Virginia university and taught my own section of a one credit course required of all freshmen students while working on a BA in English with a concentration in Creative Writing. While working on my MA in English Literature with a Certificate in Folklore at George Mason university, I worked as a substitute teacher and then was hired as a full time middle school English teacher. I graduated college with top honors. I worked as a Juvenile/Shelter Care Counselor at Berks County Youth Center where I worked with children of all ages and races. I am semi bi-lingual in Spanish. I took three years of Spanish courses in college.
