I have taught K through 12 grades. I have a Bachelors Degree, Multisubject Clear Dredential, a Spanish Authorization and a CLAD endorsement. I have 39 credits above my Bachelors. In the last 19 years I taught ESL to Algebra and just about any other subject. I did a two week K-8 National Education Science Workshop with NASA in 2001. In college I tutored Cultural Geography and while living in West Covina I did Math tutoring for a friend. Teaching is my priority and feel that there is a need for good teachers.

A Little Bit About Me...

I am a creative, patient teacher. I know that everyone learns differently, so I try to come up with many different ways to explain a concept. I love to see the sudden understanding in a student's eyes when they finally understand a difficult concept. This is what makes teaching an addictive and highly fulfilling activity for me.
During my undergraduate years, I often found myself tutoring fellow students. Eventually I got a job working for the math and science tutoring center on campus. If necessary, I separate an idea into simpler terms, and help students learn each term before continuing. I give examples which illustrate a point or demonstrate a procedure. At times, my students write short essays, which I critique for sentence structure, word choice, tense matching, and organization.
