I truly enjoy working with students of all ages. It doesn't matter what they don't know because I believe anyone can be taught anything, at least as long as you have the right teacher and materials at your disposal. I believe students are like little sponges. They're taking in everything around them. Obviously, if you fill their heads with garbage, they will learn garbage. However, if you fill their heads with quality information, you explain it in a way that they understand, and you make it fun for them to learn, then they will learn everything you're trying to teach. I taught Kindergarten for five years at two different Title-1 schools in Okeechobee, Florida. I have had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of students including those afflicted with ADD/ADHD, learning disabilities, and behavioral challenges. Prior to my teaching experience, I have also had experience interning in 2nd grade and 4th grade classrooms, worked with extended day programs and tutored elementary school students.

I enjoy sharing what I know and have learned with others. I have a 7 year old son and believe patience is a valuable characteristic of mine. I'm also very easing going and get along well with most people. When tutoring, I first attempt to help someone understand a subject especially chemistry as structured in the text book but whenever possible, if the situation requires, I will try to simplify the subject in any way possible until the student makes it over the hump and then the text version usually becomes more clear.

I have been working with children for several years. I started by teaching dance at a local dance studio while I was in high school.
