Journalism is one of my top subjects! I worked as a Business reporter for 5 months and received a reward for one of my pieces.

I work hands-on, using examples. However, I am readily able to adjust to new learning styles!
I have taken creative writing and journalism courses. I have experience in the journalism field, and won an award for one of my stories. In addition to my professional background, I have roughly a decade worth of experience as a volunteer (and professional) reading tutor and teacher. I worked with grade schools at Hancock and Horace Mann Elementary Schools as a volunteer tutor. I taught after-school classes at Battle Creek and Highland Park Junior High.
I am flexible and patient. I understand that reading and writing doesn't come easily to a lot of students. It is, in its own way, a skill not unlike hitting a golf ball or being a really good cook.
