A Little Bit About Me...

I have taken many courses over an extended period of time. In 2002 I entered the Surgical Technology program at Jefferson Technical College; I managed a 4.00 and missed only a couple of days. During the many testing phases of the program I stayed and helped get other students through the program, I was commended on my drive and determination to help other students, all while maintaining my grade average. I pulled down some of the highest scores in the programs history. This didn't go unnoticed, as shortly after graduation I was asked by the Dean of Allied Health and Surgical Technology Program Coordinator to come back and teach. A Little Bit About Me...

I truly enjoy teaching. I believe that a child can learn anything, as long as they have a supportive learning environment. I belive that I have a unique teaching style. I am a whole language and phonetic teacher. I like to teach my children using the multiple intelligences, because we all learn in different ways. When I incoropate my lessons using the multiple intelligences I see great achievements in each and every child in my classroom. I am a 60-year old man who has taught every subject at every grade level as an artist in the schools for over 35 years. I currently substitute in all the grades in Hart County so I have had to demonstrate knowledge of every subject at every grade level. I have been in the classrooms of public schools every day for about 60% of my adult life. I hold a Bachelor's Degree from Oberlin College with a major in Biology and minors in Chemistry and Math. I have tutored a lot over the years, and whereas I am comfortable handling any subject, my particular strong point is Math. I am able to find the way that students can understand the principles being learned (and this way is different for each student).
