A Little Bit About Me...

Although I have recently graduated with a degree in business, I am interested in pursuing a career involving people. My previous employment was a sales position that was very customer-oriented. I also have 3 years of experience helping children by teaching swimming lessons. Assisting my 15-year-old sister with her school work is also a regular activity.
I believe in a teaching style that reflects a student's learning style. Whether they learn best by hearing, seeing, or doing it is important to cater to the student. My teaching style works around this philosphy and tends to be a combination of all 3 styles.

A Little Bit About Me...

I enjoy working with students of all types of learning styles. I have worked as a Writing Lab tutor in the past and now I am enthusiastic to teach students about a subject I have over 15 years of experience working with daily. After beginning my tutoring experience as a volunteer with Metro North Adult Basic Education in 2003, I have continued to tutor students at various grade levels in many different subjects. I find it to be a tremendously rewarding experience. In addition to volunteering with Metro North to assist adults in preparing for their GED exams, I have worked as a paid tutor for Lindamood-Bell Learning Processes, Hennepin County Library and Club Z In-Home Tutoring. My position with Lindamood-Bell involved instructing students ages 5-16, primarily in the areas of reading and speech development. With Hennepin County Library, I was part of the library's first Teens, Tech, Youth and Learning program.
