I graduated in Foreign Languages and Literatures (English and French - Literary and Technical Translation) and I have hold the DITALS Level II - Certificate of Proficiency in teaching Italian to foreigners. I am a qualified Italian teacher native speaker and I have a good command of English (C1 CEF - certified also by LCCI) and a good knowledge of French (B1.2 CEF). I have around 100 hours experience in teaching Italian to foreigners and I have experience of teaching one to one. The thing you'll notice most about my teaching style is that I am very encouraging and approachable.
I have taught English as a Foreign Language for five years in Italy. I am experienced in class, group, and individual lessons from toddlers to senior citizens, from beginners to advanced language learners. This past year I graduated magna cum laude from Carleton College with a Bachelor’s in History and Medieval Studies. I have studied abroad at Oxford University, and in Rome and Romania, and have a lot of experience in writing research reports and essays. As a student of the liberal arts I have studied a wide variety of subjects, from theology to environmental science, from Old English to statistics and am comfortable in almost any subject. During this past academic year I tutored a home schooled child one on one several hours a week in world history and research methodology; I was in effect his sole teacher in the subject and also helped him improve his writing and study skills. A Little Bit About Me...

I come from a family of teachers, including my parents who are college professors and instilled in me from an early age the value of education. I went on to study languages and history, obtaining a B.S. in Spanish and a Master's in Teaching with a double concentration in Spanish and ESL (English as a Second Language). I taught ESL for 8 years at the middle school level, 1 year of high school Spanish, and also ran an adult ESL program here in Minneapolis for a year and a half. In addition, I have taught and/or turored English overseas in Spain and Ecuador. I have also assisted many students over the years with homework, projects, presentations, etc. in a variety of settings (study hall, "homework help", summer camp, summer school, tutoring sessions).
