I have worked within the local Latino community for fifteen years as a volunteer at Amigos International and am a Cum Laude Graduate from the Spanish program at UNCW. I have been a local advocate in the Latino community for most of my adult life. I have tutored underclassmen at UNCW, helping with both their written and spoken Spanish, as well as directed private tutoring sessions from my home or a communal area. As a volunteer at Amigos International I accompanied Spanish speakers on visits to the doctor, dentist, as well as traffic and civil court. I also helped promote and plan the 2013 and 2014 Latino Festivals here in Wilmington, and am well known among the community. My teaching style is quite flexible.
