My comments on tutoring Elementary Reading : I enjoyed working in the after-school program at the Joshua House in Macon during my 4 years of undergraduate study. I also created a digital story based on Dr. Seuss books to inspire kids to read. I enjoy reading in many languages and I know that it is of precious value.

I am a "kid-at-heart" who has a passion for helping other learn and succeed. I enjoy foreign languages and I want to share my enthusiasm with others. By traveling often, I remain enthusiastic about the subjects I study. Over the past 4 years especially, I have spent many weeks in Germany and France and have fallen in love with the people and their culture. I enjoy finding short stories and comics that help others better understand and learn the language. I also have many supplies from abroad, such as books and DVDs. If I did not major in foreign languages, I would have also enjoyed getting my degree in math education. I like math because I find security in knowing that there is always a right answer. Love the Feeling of Helping Others Achieve Their Goals!

Teaching style varies depending on the student, but I always strive to pique their interest in certain areas by relating it to their everyday experiences. I believe interactive learning is most efficient and enjoyable, including examples and activities.

Currently, I am a student attending the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. At UT, I am majoring in Microbiology and maintaining a 3.18 GPA. During my education, I have had great opportunities to study the sciences and mathematics; however, history and philosophy are fun to study as well. In my studies of science, I have studied through all introductory biology and chemistry classes including both sections of organic chemistry. My mathematic studies have taken me from Algebra to Differential Equations and Calculus 3 (Multi-Variable). I enjoy interacting with students of all ages and levels in a variety subject matter.
