Love teaching art to children

I am a retired Art Teacher, with a current Ohio Teaching license and 33 years experience teaching Elementary Visual Arts. I am interested in teaching art to students in a smaller setting and provide more individual training and art experiences. I love children and love children’s art, and feel some children best express themselves through the arts.
The arts teach children to make judgments about their environment without a right or wrong answer, and that there are many ways to look and solve a problems. As a recent college graduate, I feel that I have received the formal training necessary to become a teacher. I have obtained a BS in Early Childhood Education. Over the past two years I have also spent time tutoring elementary school children in the subject of reading, and also spent about 3 months working one on one with various students in a nearby school district.
I believe that all children should receive the extra help that they need. Often time in the classroom, a teacher does not have the time to give the support of the needs of each student in the classroom.
