As of May 22, 2009 I became a graduate of California State University, Northridge with a BA degree in Chemistry. As an undergraduate student I performed atmospheric research with Dr. Daniel Curtis along with my duties as a full-time student. As a graduate with a degree in chemistry, we also have studied the other sciences such as physics, biology and mathematics. While a full-time student I volunteered as a religious education teacher. In this experience I added knowledge to small groups of students about biblical history.

Conversational. From what I learned in Taiwan little kids are not for me. This is the truth. Kids at about 14 or 15 and older are much preferred. I don't think I am animated enough for younger children...well, not a GROUP of younger children anyway. When it comes to one on one though, it is much different I am sure. I like to give ideas on how to sound out words, remember grammar/math tricks and things like that.
I double majored in Biology and English with a Bachelor of Science degree from a very well known, highly esteemed University in Wisconsin. I went to Taiwan for two months from March-May 2010 and helped teach in a "Bushiban" or cram school to kids aged 6-15. I am currently looking for a full-time job relating to my degree.

A Little Bit About Me...

As a recent graduate of the CSU East Bay chemistry program, I was given the opportunity to have personal instruction from many different professors. I was able to graduate within four years while working a part time job as an ice hockey official and participating in undergraduate research. I also worked as tutor both for the department of chemistry at CSU East Bay and as a private tutor. When I graduated in 2008, I immediately came to UCSB to study chemistry at the graduate level where I was a chemistry teacher assistant for over a year.
