I like interacting with the students. I find it pleasurable to know the student. This type of interaction helps to create a custom teaching style for each student. I will often ask questions of the questions asked of me by the student because often times the student already knows the answer in one form or another form. I have been in the educational field for over 15 years as a tutor, aide, and a classroom teacher. I have a degree in Food and Nutrition which contained many credit hours of science. In fact, my adviser wanted my to minor in Science because of all of my credits. I have taken 12 credit hours of Biology, 12 credit hours of Chemistry, and 9 credit hours of Anatomy and Physiology. All of these courses had laboratory classes, as well as, lectures. I also have a degree in elementary Education. I am currently working on my Masters in Counseling.
I am a firm believer that all children can learn if the right kinds of tools are used. As a caring teacher, I use my tenacity to find different approaches to teaching an important skill. I worked as Library Assistant in the University where I earned my Accounting Degree. At first it was just a voluntary when some students needed a help especially mathematics subjects.
