I am currently a junior enrolling at Ohio State University majoring in Middle Childhood Education with Mathematic and Science concentration. I have been a straight A's math student since I started learning math in a very young age. I enjoy solving math problems and also teaching it. I have a younger brother who is two years younger than I am who I have been tutoring all my life in math. This really helps him learn and understand math. I've taught in the corporate environment. I've taught in the college environment. And I've been a personal computer consultant. I've taught "Intro to Computers" online. When I teach on any level and in any environment the focus is on how the student. Therefore, the cornerstone of all of my teaching experiences is that I speak in English rather than in computerese.
My teaching style is comfortable. I want to be comfortable and I want my students. If everyone is comfortable and not tensed up there's the possibility for a lot more learning. I try to let students learn at their pace. And in the case of the Microsoft Office products I prefer students use their own data as to learn the product and how it relates to them.

I graduated from high school in 2005 and was 12th in my class. Out of high school, I worked as a pre-school teacher with children ages 1-8 years. I attended Ohio University Athens for Speech Therapy for four years and am now finishing my undergraduate degree online. While in college, I took many child development courses and english courses because I find both to be so much fun to learn about. I also took classes in Math 1, Pre-Algebra, Algebra and statistics. I have always felt strongly drawn to education, particularly in the field of literacy. I grew up as a child who loved to read, and I love to pass that on to others. After receiving my degree in English Literature, I became a teacher's aide at a small Montessori school in Springfield, Ohio.
