I have enjoyed teaching tennis classes and do so mainly by explanation and examples. I show an example of the process completely through and then break down the process into parts, showing each part in slow motion and then once the pieces are grasped by the student, blend them back into one smooth motion. Once I have established where he/she needs work, I show the student a different way of looking at the problem(s). I use their motivations to demonstrate the value of learning the subject in which he/she struggles.
