A Little Bit About Me...

I have always had a passion for education. Coming from a large family, I was always helping my younger siblings with their homework and teaching "school" in my mom's study on the weekends. I attended the rigorous International Baccalaureate program at my high school and moved away from home to attend a prestigious liberal arts college. After graduating from Smith College in May I moved to Boston to work at a public charter high school where I worked with a large and diverse student population. I taught a reading class and a Spanish class, coached the co-ed soccer team, and tutored students in several classes, including AP courses. I was also an Americorps service member and tutored elementary school students at two separate public schools.

My teaching style includes designing instruction according to individual student needs in order to enhance their learning. I am a patient teacher and believe that all children are capable of great success if given the right tools and formatted instruction.
