A Little Bit About Me...

I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology. I have always had a passion for learning and helping others. I was a Honors English student and I have a strong interest in reading and writing. I have worked as a seasonal scorer of standardized assesments for a year. I was an America Reads America Counts tutor for 1 1/2 years. I tutored youth K-12 in both reading and math. I also provided homework assistance with other subjects. During the last 2 1/2 years, I tutored youth residents and program participants in a variety of subjects.

While attaining my undergraduate degree, I worked as an intern at Triple Crown Publications doing copywriting, editing and ghost writing work. After graduating from the University of Illinois with a B.A. in Rhetoric & English, I gained a year and a half of experience in the field of Public Relations where I further refined my writing and editing skills. I spent two years as a long term substitute with Columbus City Schools. I have a BS in psychology with a minor in biology from the University of Illinois. My focus has been on medicine and science, working in adult medical education for over 12 years. I owned a medical education company for five years, working with physicians who would be considered the top two percent in their fields in the world. We developed curriculum for doctors, pharmacists and nurses to teach them about new drugs and new research, all with the hope of improving patient care.
