I believe in constructivism. Students learn more when they make their own learning. They need to see the real world application of the material and how it applies to them. I try to create tasks that are hands-on, use authentic materials, and encourage students to collaborate with others and think outside of the box.
I have taught high school in three different countries: Germany, UK and USA. I am passionate about foreign languages and social studies, and I care about my students. It is my intention to broaden their horizons and help them reach their potential as students and as human beings.

After several years of coaching and working with children I have learned that my true life calling is to teach children and young adults. I am easy going and friendly and have learned how to quickly build rapport with students. I believe that I can make a difference in children's lives, especially when it comes to education.

My teaching style depends completely upon the level of the student. I will tailor each session to the student's needs. I am a believer in mastering the basics before moving on to the advanced. I also divide (and encourage the student to divide) materials into more manageable steps, making schoolwork much less overwhelming.
