Recently got out of the Marine Corps where five years were spent in the intelligence field. Upon completion of my military duties, I attended a coding school where I graduated at the top of my class and was asked to join the teaching staff. I am currently working as a software developer in DC. I have a passion for helping people of all ages understand computers and programming. It has always been a passion of mine to work with and educate young children and youth. During my time at University of Maryland, I thoroughly enjoyed my courses in mathematics which included Calculus II & III, Ordinary Differential Equations, Partial Differential Equations, Linear Algebra, Applications with Linear Algebra and Complex Numbers while receiving a BS in Electrical Engineering. I always enjoyed teaching mathematics topics such as Calculus to students. That subject in particular is needed for many applied fields in which several (engineering, physics, actuarial science) I have both working and educational experience in. I tutored for three years in various mathematics subjects at Penn State. I enjoy teaching adults and young adults who may be in high school or college. You can always find a way to relate the material to the student, and that is the key for them not just to understand it but care about it and have motivation.
