I am currently teaching Algebra 1 for Prince William County Public Schools. I teach for Special Education at an alternative day program. My undergrad was in Biology and Psychology, giving me knowledge in those subjects as well. I have an undergraduate degree (BS) in Biology and a graduate degree (PhD) in Physiology. I have experience as a Professor of Anatomy in Graduate Physical Therapy curriculum. I have taught Anatomy and Physiology and to students from elementary school to graduate medical studies. I have most of my teaching years teaching Allied Health Students at the community college level.
I believe that much of the difficulty in learning Science is that people try to learn a series of facts rather than a story. It is difficult to do well when a student is dependent on his/her ability to recall from extensive facts where no understanding of the interrelationship is appreciated.
