A Little Bit About Me...

I do not have current experience teaching or tutoring for pay. I did some tutoring of high school students and fellow classmates while I was in college. Since then, I have been the "go-to" person in my family for help with math and science. I tutored one of my sisters in her classes at St Charles Community College. She graduated with an Associates degree in AutoCAD last year. I helped her with all her cad, math, physics, and engineering classes. From 2002 thru 2008, I tutored one of my nieces through her junior high and high school math and science classes. When helping students learn and understand material I believe it is important to first gain the student's trust, so they will not resist receiving help. I am a recent college graduate and find that it is easier to relate to, communicate with, and gain the trust of students, since I was in their position not long ago. Once the individual's trust is gained I will assess their learning style and determine the obstacles they are having with grasping the material.
