My comments on tutoring Trigonometry : Trigonometry is extremely important in the applied mathematical fields such as engineering and physics. So through my own study I have become proficient with trig functions.

I am a Mechanical Engineering and Geology dual major with a 3.6 GPA. I understand mathematics very well and have tutored fellow students in math and physics, successfully for years. I have a passion for learning and love when I can help others learn complex material and pass classes. Since then, I have been the "go-to" person in my family for help with math and science. I tutored one of my sisters in her classes at St Charles Community College. A Little Bit About Me...

Giving a student the answer does not facilitate their learning. My style of tutoring and teaching is to reinforce the basics, ask leading questions and give examples that assist the student discover the correct answers for him or herself.
While substitute teaching various subjects, I discovered my hidden talent – making math understandable for youth. My other gifts include excellent grammar, vocabulary and reading comprehension skills. Throughout my years of teaching I had some students who needed additional help so I tutored along with my teaching. I spent extra time with them after class or in a laboratory. I won many awards for teaching and was selected teacher of the year in 2002. Along with adult college students, I have worked with Boy Scouts, middle school students and high school students.
