As a mathematics graduate, I was anxious to achieve a high level of excellence in teaching. I have earned two bachelors degrees,BA in mathematics and B.Ed. in teaching mathematics that enabled me to learn much more about mathematics and how to teach it. I addition I have masters degree in English literature i.e. MA. In addition, I have learned extensive mathematical skills due to teaching for more than ten consecutive years. A Little Bit About Me...

I currently have my California substitute teaching credential. I have worked previously for Placed County Office of Education and Yuba County Office of Education, substitute teaching. I currently work for Paradise Oaks Youth Services as a residential counselor, specifically on the 7 to 3 shift, tutoring the kids to help them complete their individual school program. At Paradise Oaks Youth services I work with emotionally disturbed teenage boys, but as a substitute teacher, I worked K12 and special education. My bachelors degree is in Applied Computer Graphics, and my Masters is in Forensic Psychology (to be completed February 2011). I plan on continuing my education to the doctoral level.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have over 9 years teaching experience in both general K-7 and special education classes. I also have 4 years experience as a tutor to under preforming students needing to meet Ca. grade level standards in Language Arts and Math. Last summer, I was selected as a site coordinator for the Mayor's summer reading program which increased the most students reading ability 15-20 points in 4 weeks.
