I'm patient and recognize feelings when somebody doesn't understand. I really believe that understanding Maths or Physics is easy when the required background is present. It's like a chain where chapters are links required to continue to the next one. If you loose one it's hard to get other. That's why the first step is knowing the student's level. As a Social Worker I came in contact with young adults who have dropped out of school because of becoming young parents, drug use, and or a lack of support from parents. My initial contact was to address child abuse and or neglect but I quickly recognized the bigger picture included their inability to process information because of a lack of education.
