I try to model my own love of learning to my mentee.

I’ve been exploring possible future careers for myself. Recently as I was tutoring one of my classmates with an English assignment, she mentioned to me that I am very easy-going when it comes to helping her learn and understand the assignments. For instance, with the little girl I tutored, I knew that she was a visual learner and that she loved art and music so I gave her a mnemonic device in a form a song she liked to help her remember verb conjugations. I also made flashcards for her to remember fruits and vegetables as well as articles of clothing. I will make tutoring more creative because it makes fun and I feel that when kids have fun while learning, they remember more.
