I have taught Medical Neuroanatomy to medical students at the University of Iowa Medical School. Students were directed in dissecting and identifying parts of the human brain. This occurred in small groups of five or six students. I also taught Molecular Neurobiology at Friday Harbor Laboratories to graduate students who came from around the world to take the course. This involved all parts of a laboratory class including lectures, small group discussions, and one-on-one teaching. I have also tutored numerous undergraduates in a variety of math and science areas.

I have tutored math, biology and chemistry for the last 5 years at a college level. In math, I tutored up to the trigonometry level, as well as holding math seminars lasting as long as 2 weeks. In biology, I have tutored human biology, anatomy, physiology and microbiology for 5 years. In addition, I was offered a teaching assistant position for the lab portions of anatomy (which I did for three years) and microbiology (which I did for one year.) I worked for over 2 years as a study session leader for various engineering courses while getting my B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. I also tutored several students in engineering classes at the college level. I have experience working with elementary through high school students as well.
I have a passion for helping people, and nothing satifies me more than helping a person understand a concept and succeed in his or her class.
