My degree a BS in Electrical Engineering, with an emphasis on math. I spent the 2011 and 2012 school year as a math and science substitute teacher in Pinellas County. I received my certification by the FDOE in math and physics. As my resume’ indicates, my career grew in applied engineering and science. My staff management work was promoting engineered products used to increase manufacturing productivity. This included complex proposals to many different industries in Boston, Chicago, Atlanta and Tampa. I really like helping people, specially students who are struggling with math and physics, and I feel good when the student's goals are reached (either they understand the chapter or they obtain good grades). While attending Rutgers University, tutored minority students in both math and English in Newark College of Engineering. Subsequently after graduation taught one semester at the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico one undergraduate course (Introduction to Statistics) and one graduate course (Advanced Cost Accounting).

I do not have formal tutoring experience as an adult, but have taken a break from my career in business to stay home and take care of my children, currently 5 and 7 years old. I have helped my daughter with most of her math concepts and homework and she is one of the best in her class, and I have helped both with their English and Spanish vocabulary and pronunciation. I would say I spend about 2 hours daily (during school days) teaching them and making sure they understand the concepts taught in school.
