My comments on tutoring Genetics : If you understand statistics and enjoy geneology, you are one of the few, but with a little bit of work, I can help you understand Genetics a whole lot better.

I am a hands on type of a tutor, I start from the basics and work my way up to their current subjects, so that they can build on a good foundation, understanding the basics is the most critical step to understanding the complexities of Algebra and above, and how the sciences start to get more complex in human anatomy and physiology.
In my years of education, I found that some of the methods used for teaching these subjects were inadequately explained, therefore causing students not to truly understand how to apply mathematics and science in school and their every day life. A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style is dependent on the student. With some students I find that they just need initial guidance from me before I let them be independent with their assignments. With other students I have found that they need me to hold their hand, so to speak, during the whole process. When that is the case I make sure that the student does not feel inadequate by having me walk them through each assignment.
