My daughter is now in the 8th grade and tests at the college level in reading and high school levels at most other subjects.

A Little Bit About Me...

I personally enjoy when teachers draw pictures or diagram examples to clarify complicated topics so I have adapted an active tutoring form. It involves the student to explain and participate in my session to properly get the hands on one to one experience and confidence to correct their mistakes. A Little Bit About Me...

If I were to sum my "style" of teaching up, it would be "patience with determination". Perhaps my best achievment is with my wife who recently graduated from A-B Tech. Kate has always had a block toward anything mathematic. She had one course between her and graduation, college algebra! The bottom line here is that I patiently stuck through this course treatment with her to a successful completion, she completed the course and graduated with a well earned "C" or a 78%. With patience and determination shared together with the student, impediments like a dread for math can be overcome.
The civil engineering program that I successfully completed into a 4 year BS degree, was math and science intensive, with about half the courses requiring laboratory work.
