A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style has grown from an understanding that we are all unique learners. While the majority of my teaching style is built upon the concepts of Multiple Intelligence, I have also taught specifically for standardized testing. I believe varied modalities of teaching should be implemented in a way that is most appropriate for the individual learner. I have wanted to work with kids all my life. I love the way that they learn and think, and how different it is from adults. I studied Biology at Warren Wilson College in hopes of becoming a high school biology teacher. While at college, I did over one hundred hours of service tutoring and mentoring high school and middle school students in Buncombe County. Since graduating in 2009, I decided to take a break from school, and figure out where I wanted to go in life. I have been working at a local after school for elementary aged kids.
