I teach according to the student's learning style. I acknowledge that all students learn differently, and I excel at catering to visual, aural, and kinesthetic needs of students.
In 2011 to 2012 I worked as a lead tutor for Academic Achievers in Muncie. My core focus was to improve writing skills. Testing Strategies is one of my top subjects! Elementary students can struggle with standardized math tests because they view it as a math test as opposed to a problem-solving test. In math, one has to know how to apply a skill to come up with a correct answer. For multiple choice test, one can often times find the correct answer by using other types of reasoning outside of mathematics, or at least make choosing the correct answer choice significantly more probable.

When I became a general education teacher, I worked towards making my math lessons activity-based while rotating through small groups of students for personalized lessons.

I worked as a retired teacher in the Adams Wells Special Services Coop for 3 years (2006-2009)as a teacher's aide with special needs students both in the elementary and high school levels. Those children varied from autistic, cerebal palsy, Attention Deficit Disorders with and without Hyperactivity. I really enjoyed working with these students to help them with their reading, math, and overall achievement.
