The most important element of teaching is to realize one is teaching a person. In a tutoring situation, it is especially important to discover exactly how to present material to the student. As a teacher, I seek to understand the student and then present the material using terms and examples the student can understand. Finally, I literally believe the only “stupid question” is one the learner doesn’t ask.
I hold a Bachelor and a Master of Science degree in Science Education. I was certified in the State of Louisiana to teach Chemistry, Biology, General Science, and Computer Literacy. I taught high school Chemistry, Physics, Computer Literacy, and Study Skills. I have taught Biology Lab courses and Computer Information Systems courses at the college level, and have substantial experience teaching algebra to students preparing for the GED exam.

I have had more than five years of experience working as a teaching and research assistant at three different universities including considerable undergraduate teaching experience in general education and principles courses. I have a strong experience in curriculum development, teaching package preparation, and supervising senior students’ projects. I completed a training module on instructional media technologies and teaching methodologies.
I believe in shared responsibility toward the common goal in a teaching-learning process. An effective teacher able to manage appropriate resources for students to conduct independent studies and respond to students’ learning needs.
