I have a great deal of experience in educating students. I have earned my BA from Northern Illinois University in Communications, and I also have earned my MAT from Rockford College in Education. I have had my Type-03 Elementary Teaching Certificate since April of 2009. I have worked as a special education aide, student taught sixth grade language arts, and in the past year I have been a substitute teacher in Winnebago and Ogle County. My classrooms involve learning-centered groups in a workshop approach. I find that students are encouraged by the examples of other writers and learners at their own levels. I provide a great deal of individual feedback on assignments. I encourage the imitation of examples in writing and the discovery of other writing styles.
