My comments on tutoring GED : 15 years of teaching and tutoring individual and groups

15 Years as High School Math teacher and 15 years as College Instructor. ! Math is one of my top subjects! Teaching is an Art, not any person can be a good teacher. My comments on tutoring GED : Have experience in teaching for the GED test in an individual setting.

I have over of 30 years of progressive experience in tutoring young children in the elementary years of education in all subject matter areas. My specialty is literacy and reading, but I am also adept in teaching all of the math curricula as well. I also firmly believe that teaching organizational skills and proper research methodologies are very important for the classroom today--and every child needs these skills in order to excel in the classroom and survive. I am also a qualified art teacher in the NOVA area.
I believe in tutoring so that the child receives feedback and fully understands his/her own limitations and how to overcome obstacles in class. Many children lack positivity in the methodology! I also believe that using art instruction helps children to learn in a more creative manner.

My teaching style is to produce the most effective lessons to the type of learners I have in the classroom. I am very easy going and easy to trust and relate to. I have respect for all my students and I earn theirs in return. My students feel very comfortable in my class and are always eager to learn. I do believe all children can learn and will live up to your expectations if you believe in them.
Taught 8th Grade Pre-Algebra & Algebra my first 6 years of teaching. Then I moved onto high school. I am now teaching Adv. Alg II(7 years), Alg III with Trig(5 years), SAT Math Prep (5 years) & AP BC Calculus(2 years).
