I graduated May 2013 from Fredonia with a Bachelors degree in Childhood Education. My concentration is in English. I spent a year of professional development in the Hamburg school district where I had student teaching placements in first, second, and fifth grade. Children can become unfocused very easily. When children are distracted it may be very difficult to get them focused. Taking your time and making sure they refocus, can actually save time. My philosophy is that education is power. Knowledge is our greatest defense and our greatest weapon. Through knowledge we gain experience, which enriches our competence, which protests the ills of society, which leads to a social justice, and most important, liberty.
