My comments on tutoring French : Took two years of it and have a great grasp on vocabulary and usage skills. As in the courses.

I love mathematics, I am not going to deny it. I find it to be one of the most thrilling subjects out there. I can understand why so many people dislike it. I have always wanted to be a teacher, I couldn't really see myself doing anything else. I try to make learning and inclusive experience for all children. I feel that sometimes children's different learning styles get overlooked and then as a community we have a child that is left feeling that they are unworthy. Making the learning session interactive makes a world of difference in teaching a language, and I find that incorporating play-acting into a learning session excites and motivates the student. Using the list of vocabulary words and rules of grammer the student is currently in the process of learning, I like to create a scenario with the student, stand up and walk away from the table, and pretend that we are actually at the dentist, the grocery store, etc. I also like to use topics that relate to the student's age and environment, thereby make the language 'real' to them.

I earned my BS in Early Childhood Education in 2004 and became certified to teach in the State of Ohio. I have been teaching for five years, my most recent experience as a long term Reading (grades 6-8) substitute for two years in Cleveland.
