I graduated from West Liberty-Salem in 2010 with a GPA of 3.5 and I am currently enrolled at Urbana University studying Sports Management with a current GPA of 3.89. I am taking several computer courses in college and have taken 3 years of computer related courses while in high school. I am well experienced in math, the highest level of math I have taken in high school was Pre-Calculus which I took my Junior year and I have also taken 2 semesters of math while in college.

A Little Bit About Me...

After 13 years of employment with the Oklahoma City Police Department, I decided to finish my degree, and become a certified teacher. This decision was due to the Police Department recruiting me to teach various computer classes to police officers. I have taught various beginning and advanced computer classes, Algebra II, and business math. I have also tutored students who have failed high school math classes. Each student I have tutored has brought their grade up to at least a "C" average (from a failing score). One student I tutored enrolled in a class at OU for high school credit (Algebra II). I tailor my teaching style to the student. I first evaluate where the student is by building rapport, discussing the problem he/she is having, talking to the teacher, and talking to the parents. I then begin focusing on the area where the student is having difficulties. It may be that the student requires help with homework as well as review of fundamentals. I address both areas, always encouraging the student.
