Once in a classroom I realized that I was meant to teach. I love working with students who are challenging and those who challenge me. I believe that I can become a better teacher only by continually challenging myself and my students. The key phrase “engaging students” seems less than what is required in the classroom. I want my students to be engaged but I want them to encompass and enjoy what they are doing as well. I have earned two degrees from the University of Rochester. My undergraduate studies were in psychology and I completed my Masters degree in Childhood Education with a certification in Inclusion. I am a certified teacher in New York State. I am familiar with New York State curriculum for grades 1-6. I love working with people and teaching them about the things that I am passionate about. The educational system I grew up in was a very hard and intense system compared to the US standards, I personally feel for America to be competetive the education system should improve to competetive levels with countries like India and China.
