Spanish is one of my top subjects! I am not a Spanish teacher, however I do know how to teach Spanish. I spent a year in Argentina not knowing a word of spanish. I went through a difficult program in which I was taught spanish as a second language and I shared a room with 5 other girls who only spoke spanish. I know how to memorize spanish I know how to study for a spanish test and I can explain the basics of spanish as well as the more complex aspects of spanish to anyone willing to learn. Not only do I know and understand the grammatical aspect of the language but I also understand the different cultures and accents of spanish in different South American countries. I would be happy to help teach or understand or even practice spanish with anyone who needs help and is willing to learn.

My experience is more from life than anything. I graduated from high school in 2011,and I chose to go from there to Argentina where I learned Spanish as a second language as well as studied the bible in a college setting in Spanish. I do not have my certification to translate or interpret however, I have been on a number of missions trips throughout Argentina, as well as in Peru during which I was the only form of translation, or interpretation. I have learned through experience in life. I was not taught In an American classroom, but in another country where I had to use what I learned every single day. My comments on tutoring Spanish : I am in my fifth year at Wingate University. I will graduate in May of 2014 with a minor in Spanish. I have been certified by the CRLA (College Reading and Learning Association) as a Level III Spanish tutor. I also work as the Supplemental Instruction Coordinator at the University, working with Spanish professors and their students during the academic year. Upon graduating high school with 2 years of the Spanish language, I placed out of Elementary Spanish at the college level and completed the requirements for my minor with Syntax and Morphology. Overall, I have had a total of 5 semesters of Spanish classes at the university level.

5 semesters of University Spanish courses 2 years of Spanish at the high school level (Basic Spanish) Level III Tutor (certified by the College Reading and Learning Association) Supplemental Instruction Coordinator - I sit in college Spanish courses each day of class and assist the professor in helping students in class. This position also involves holding a one-hour group tutoring session per week. Will graduation with a minor in Spanish in May of 2014 (classes are already completed).
I love to redirect questions rather than just giving answers. By avoiding giving answers students can learn to think on their own, develop critical thinking skills, and improve their learning techniques. I also like to use whiteboards and textbooks to provide visuals, while also using educational 'apps' via Ipad and iphone to engage students.

A patient teacher to assist with learning.

I enjoy working with students who need to see visuals in reading and who need to have hands on experience in math.
All students can learn. Some just need a little more practice until they can consistently perform the task without assistance. I assist in teaching at Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools. I have been supporting student’s academics for over 8 years. My experience with students expands from pre-kindergarten to the 8th grade. My comments on tutoring Spanish : Spanish and Guarani are my native dialects. I also speak some Portuguese and basic English.

I believe that speaking ability should be the primary focus of any language, along with traditional reading and writing skills. So I would decribe my approach as conversation-based. However, I am willing to focus instruction based on the client's desired outcome.
I am a native Spanish speaking criminal and civil trial attorney. I do not have extensive tutorial experience but I am very personable and professional. I legally immigrated from Paraguay to the U.S. in 2009, following my marriage to my husband who is a U.S. military servicemember. I hope that by helping others learn Spanish, then I will be able to improve my own grasp of the English language.
