A Little Bit About Me...

I have a Bachelors in English from Dominican University. I began A Plus Master Tutoring Center over 4 years ago and was teaching in my home. Now we have expanded to a center in Oak Park and we tutor all ages, from Pre-K to adults. Our subjects range from phonics to algebra. Our teaching styles vary from a 3:1 ratio, which would include up to three students and one tutor, or a 1:1 ratio which would be a private session with a student and a tutor. Session prices range from $25-$27 depending on the type of session. We pride ourselves in being an affordable tutoring center compared with the prices of Huntington and Sylvan learning centers. My comments on tutoring Biology : have taught undergrad biology

Chemistry has been my passion and i take special interest in teaching my students this subject. I have great command over this subject I explain the concepts to my students. The chapter becomes easier for them to understand and hence they are able to solve the problem easily. Each one of my student has earned better grades after being tutored by me. I also give Hinduatani vocal lessons and so far my students have enjoyed every min of the class. I give them step by step instruction on voice training and teaching them different raags and compositions.

Making biology fun

I received my PhD. in the Biological Sciences from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee in 1997. I then went to Wayne State University (Detroit, MI) for my postdoctoral fellowship where I worked with developing transgenic mice. In 1999 I took another postdoctoral position at Rush Medical Center in Chicago at the Dept. of Ob/GYN where I did studies with the human papilloma virus (HPV) as well as ovarian cancer and programmed cell death. After my postoctoral experience, I accepted a position at Abbott laboratories where I worked with the immunobead assays for HTLV and chagas disease.
